I just rolled into town after driving half-way across the country to make it in time for JOE facilitator training. Life is good. I have a job offer – not a huge amount of money and a drop-dead date of October 31 – but I’ll have plenty of time to get a few interviews before I have to accept. Should be an easy semester; lots of time for golf, sun, sailing, etc. I better hit the bed – I’ll be up in three hours for JOE.

Having the post-JOE party was a good idea; everyone was so exhausted from JOE that they cleared out by midnight. Okay, I’ve got the wine trip later today, golf and Buttermilk on Wednesday. I guess I’ll have to figure out the class schedule on Wednesday afternoon between reorientation and the picnic. Sailing on Friday and the weekend is packed with social events. These first year’s are way too concerned about classes. There’s plenty of time to get that stuff done. Reminder: call companies later this week to get the interview thing figured out.

Hmm, signing up for challenging classes seemed like a great idea last spring. For some reason, I wanted to get the most out of the 80 grand I’m dropping on this thing. Basically my first real day of classes on Monday and I’m already behind. I’m going to Treman tomorrow morning and will have to finish editing the paper tomorrow afternoon/night. I guess I’ll have to blow off Judgment and Negotiations studying this week. I can catch up later. I have to call those companies soon.

Just got back from the Palms. Went fly fishing and sailing today. Okay, I’m golfing both Friday and Saturday, not that I really need to talk to any recruiters. The companies I’m going to interview with won’t be at the Invitational anyway. I talked to a few first years today. They’re still pretty stressed out about classes. I don’t know why, they’ll have plenty of time to get stuff done. Intermediate Accounting is a disaster right now; I’m going to have to devote a lot more time starting Sunday. Well, after I get back from the Binghamptom Mets game, anyway. I’ll get back on track with Negotiations readings after I’m caught up in accounting. Man, I really have to call those companies soon.
