As the snow is still falling outside the windows, Johnson students inside are starting to get cabin fever. Whether it's the never ending burnout of 1st years, or the never ending job hunt for 2nd years, talks of sunny weather and rest are starting to heat up inside the atrium. As people plan trips to exotic locations, the Dominican Republic, Aruba, or on one of the Johnson sponsored trips to fabulous places, it has been difficult to balance the many priorities that we take upon ourselves. I myself am finding that this semester has been equally as busy as last semester, complete with internships, the core operations, and taking on leadership roles in clubs and activities. The 2nd year students have a few months left of b-school, they are still an invaluable resource to the school, whether it is to ask for their advice about an internship, or simply share a drink and enjoy their company. It is easy to immerse ourselves in our never ending schedule of deliverables, endless priorities, and unread stacks of Business Week and the Wall Street Journal. We need to remember how far we have come, whether it is thinking back to orientation, or back to when we first decided to apply to business school. A word of advice? Relax, take a deep breath, congratulate yourself for making it this far, and don't forget to pack the sunscreen.
